Sanitize the Classroom
Funded Feb 6, 2025Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. So many students are struggling illness and this will help us keep a clean, germ-free environment. Students will also be SO excited to have water bottles in the classroom so they don’t have to miss out of valuable instruction to get water!”

We Need a New Printer!
Funded May 8, 2023I have had the ability to print tasks in color, as well as to create and print differentiated versions of classwork assignments to better assist my students. We have participated in many class scavenger hunts and have even recently played a math version of whack-a-mole utilizing this printer! I have printed out pages upon pages of reference sheets and resource materials for students to reference throughout the school year! While students love using technology in the classroom, some students still request "old school handouts" to meet their learning style best. This printer gives me the opportunity to print out activities on the spot so students feel comfortable while tackling middle school math! We can't thank you enough!”

Funded Dec 3, 2019On behalf of myself and my students, present and future, we can't think you enough for your generosity. Students will be able to earn a comfortable place to complete partner work. The "Everything you need to know to ace middle school math" has always been a hit in my classroom and it is the first book each student reaches for. Each student will now have the opportunity to use the book to help them better understand the topics we are learning.”

Funded Mar 4, 2018These books have helped develop skills for many students in my class. The favorite book so far is the "Everything I Need To Know To Ace Middle School Math In One Big Fat Notebook". There have been many times so far where every copy of that books is off the bookshelves. Typically, my higher level students select this book to clarify topics covered in class that they are not clear on or to jump ahead and look at the upcoming topic. Occasionally some of my struggling students will get a copy of the book to help guide their misconceptions. As a teacher, it is an amazing feeling to see the bookshelves empty as the students utilize them.
Our classroom received the books later in the school year so they were not utilized to drive instruction or as a reading that was discussed. On a typical day students are seen selecting books to read when they complete work early or after a test. I am excited to be able to better incorporate the books into lessons in the years to come, but for now students are very much enjoying the books.
After only having the books for a couple months it is amazing to see the students enjoying the books. I had a student pick up a book yesterday (secrets, lies, and algebra) and said "this isn't a math book". I said yes it is, take it to your seat and read it and show me when you realize something about math. As she was reading she pointed out many "jokes" that she now found funny and understood because of discussions during math class. My English Language Learners enjoy the picture books so they can infer what is going on if they are struggling with the reading. As a student, I never had a math library and as a teacher I originally rolled my eyes at the idea of a math library. When I began the search for math related books and decided to start a math library I never envisioned the impact that would truly be made. Thank you all for your generous donations!”
