We are requesting an Ozobot Education robots kit which will teach my students how to program beyond the confines of code.org. They will have their hands on the actual robot that moves based on how they program it to move through their self-created mazes. These experiences fuse the digital world to the physical world. I am teaching computer science and programming to students in grades K-5. In that experience, they use code.org to complete online activities as well as unplugged hands-on activities for programming. Ozobots in my classroom, will allow my students to experience hands on robotics and programming while working on STEM applications. Students will be given the opportunity to develop problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. This hands-on programming experience will strengthen their ability to be persistent as they reason and learn from failures and successfully complete challenges.
