My scholars are constantly going to my classroom library. They read whenever they finish an assignment early, when they are waiting in line for the bathroom and when they are done with their homework early in study hall. One problem I always run into with my scholars is their desire for more books! I can't count the number of times a scholar has asked for a new book because they have read all of the ones available in our classroom library. I want to create a library based on my scholars' selections. They give great recommendations to each other, so why not build something that they've asked for! I put together this donation by asking my scholars what genres, authors and books they have loved in the past, or what they would recommend to their peers. I want to take their suggestions and turn them into a library where a scholar never says they can't find anything to read.
