Thank you so much for your generosity and making math fun for all of my students. I really appreciate your kindness. I can’t wait to start using the materials with my students when they arrive. My student will be thrilled to begin learning with them. Thank you again for everything.”

  • Magical Mathematical Movement

    Funded Apr 27, 2018

Your generosity has allowed my students to use hands on materials during the school day. They have enjoyed learning their math facts with the use of build a number houses. This teaches them number bonds through play based activities in small groups. When the students first saw the materials they were excited to use them.

The next step to this classroom project is to provide the students with time each day to use the materials on a rotating schedule. They will be able to gain geometry skills with the use of the jeopardous and practice addition and subtraction skills with the use of the stack and build manipulative's. The students are excited to use these materials everyday. Thank you again for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lasko

  • Exciting Everyday Reading Centers

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for you generosity. There was a look of pure joy and excitement on each of my students' faces when I introduced the new materials to them. They were so excited to use them in their reading centers after I introduced each activity to them in a whole group. We will be using them everyday during reading center time for the rest of the school year in order to aide the class with learning phonics skills. I can not wait to share this gracious gift with my students in the years to come. Thank you again on behalf of all of my student and myself.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lasko

The materials that I am requesting are going to help make a difference in my students lives by giving them the opportunity to develop their phonics skills by using the Build-A-Word Magnet Boards, Roll and Read Phonics Games, and the teaching Reading Skills Activity Centers. The Build-A-Word Magnet Boards will allow my students to practice building simple 3-letter C-V-C words. They will be able to stick a picture onto the board, then build its corresponding word. The Roll and Read Phonics Games will provide them with a variety of opportunities to decode new words by letting them focus on short vowel sounds, long vowel sounds, blends and digraphs, or word families. Finally, the teaching reading activity centers are skill-building centers that explore the 5 major components of reading. By obtaining all of these materials, my students will be able to explore the world of reading for years to come.
