I have a small rug and some (4) alternative seats in my classroom. In each of my 5 levels, there are students that ask to sit in them every time they walk through the door. I have seen instant changes in focus, restlessness, distractibility and anxiousness. I'd like to make flexible seating available to more, if not all, of my students. The best benefit is seeing and hearing how happy a child is when they realize they have been able to focus, stay on task and complete their assignments. Every student should have this experience. If a little change in seating can accomplish such positive results, why wouldn't I ask for help to make it a reality? Thank you for considering helping us with this project. We truly appreciate it!
