  • Coming Together on the Carpet

    Funded Dec 31, 2023

My students and I are thrilled with the new resources! One specific project we've embarked on involves creating a multimedia presentation about an animal from our local zoo. The students are researching various aspects of the topic, including its appearance, habitat, and eating habits. They're using the new carpet as a launching spot to begin each lesson. It's been incredible to see their creativity and engagement as they work on this project.

When the students first saw the new carpet, their reactions were priceless. Their eyes lit up with excitement, and they immediately started brainstorming ideas for how they could space themselves out. It was heartwarming to see how grateful they were for the opportunity to use these resources.

As for the next steps, we plan to continue working on the multimedia project. The students will be presenting their findings to the class, and we're also considering hosting a virtual exhibition where they can showcase their work to the school community and beyond. We're excited to see where this project takes us and how it impacts our understanding of local animals.”

  • The Entrepreneurship Effect

    Funded Mar 29, 2023

I'm beyond grateful for your generosity! My fifth grade students were able to create products that reflected their values and interests. The products were then "sold" in a school market place. Students earned tokens for positive behavior choices and then used those tokens to "purchase " items. This project was able to positively impact three grade levels. It also sparked interest and excitement among the lower grades. Since this is an inaugural year for this event, I was impressed by the reaction and response. Thank you again!”

  • Turn Up the Heat

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Life happens isn't just a saying! Working through a first year of entrepreneurship curriculum has been a challenge. These items came just in time to save the day!!!

I had a couple of groups/companies found that they were unable to make the product originally planned upon. Now they are able to use the toaster oven to make shrinky dink keychains. The other group is able to make wristlets with unique designs to sell in our marketplace.

Thank you for supporting the growth of students in my classes.”

  • Enter the Entrepreneurs!

    Funded Dec 2, 2022

It never ceases to amaze me what the human race can do. Through your donation, an entire grade level is able to have authentic, interactive experiences with positive outcomes.

The fifth grade at Mike Davis Elementary have a new entrepreneurship curriculum that replaced the technology curriculum. This is all new to us- the students, the teacher (me), and our administrators. Having these items has meant that we could have a jump start on creating products. It also means that we have the ability to mess up and make new connections. We have 16 "companies" with products like slime, bracelets, stickers, and keychains. We are having fun and learning at the same time. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

  • Loot for the Lab!

    Funded Oct 27, 2022

This project was to ensure my students at Mike Davis Elementary in Naples, Florida, have the basics needed to be successful in Technology Class. This is my first year teaching technology and I was saddened that the program was not as robust as I envisioned. Your donation has infused excitement into my room!

Students were moved to know that strangers were willing to make sure they had computer mice and headphones. They love learning about the equipment and take care of it. At the start of this school year, the lab had less than 20 mice and no headphones.

Now, every student has a mouse to use even in my largest classes. K-4 went through what I coined, "mouse school." They learned about each of the buttons, what to do if they hit the wrong one, and how to insert the cable in the USB port. These all seem like automatic knowledge for adults but learning must begin somewhere. My class is where that learning BEGINS.

Again, thank you! I am humbled by this program and donors' generosity.”

    With gratitude,
