  • Kindness Garden

    Funded Oct 17, 2023

We will be using the soil in the spring to grow seedlings to then transplant into our planter which will be filled with the rest of the soil that we were able to get from Donors choose.

The students were excited when we received our materials. They helped carry the items to the garden.

Our goal and mission for our students with significant disabilities is to teach them to live and function in their communities as independently as possible. Students are able to learn valuable functional skills in this outdoor setting. The school garden will also increase parent interest and involvement because the committee will invite parents to participate in the program.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mathews

  • "Lettuce" Grow

    Funded Oct 1, 2023

Our schools, students, and teachers are extremely grateful for you donations which helped us get planters for our garden. Our students were able to assembly the planter and each of them carried the planters to our garden. The students cannot wait to begin planting seeds this spring and transplant into our new planters.

We are committed to fostering an inclusive and enriching educational experience for our students. We believe that a garden can be a transformative space for them, offering unique opportunities for sensory exploration, hands-on learning, and personal development. With your support, we aim to create a beautiful outdoor garden that will not only benefit our current students but also inspire generations to come.

Due to your generous donations we are able to bring this vision to life. All of your donations were essential for the successful establishment of our garden.”

  • Organized Occupational Therapy Room

    Funded Dec 30, 2021

My students and I are super appreciative of the generous donations that we received that made our project fully funded. Now our room looks so organized which will help us work more effectively. We were able to get 3 slotted cabinets, a border for our bulletin board, file folders and a enlarged clock. The organizational supplies will serve to enhance the students learning and involve them in many prevocational skills. The enlarged clock will teach them to learn new skills by telling time. Every little amount that was donated meant so much to us. Thank you again.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mathews

Effective organization will allow our students to enhance optimal learning and provide skills necessary to engage in a variety of work related tasks. An organized room will be essential in order for students to locate and perform variety of skills and tasks. For example, we are asking for a grocery shelving cart as well as other items in order to simulate a supermarket grocery shelf for students to work on stocking skills as well as motor planning, visual motor/perceptual skills, fine motor skills, spatial relation skills, organization, and executive functional skills.
