These Chromebooks will make a big difference in my classroom because we received several students who were relocated from Puerto Rico and impacted by Hurricane Maria. Prior to this request, I only had one working desktop. My students are thriving 2nd graders and I would like them to be exposed to technology so they are better prepared for the upper grades. Many of my students reside in shelters and are in homes without technology. A lot of the assignments that are asked of them require access to technology. We do not want these students to feel left out when they enter our classroom aka our safe haven. To make sure these students receive the same academic opportunities, my students and I would like these Chromebooks for their use and to make certain they have the resources they need to achieve.
