Groovy Lights and Stickers
Funded Aug 8, 2024The generous donations of calming strips, inspirational stickers, a surge protector with USB ports, smart LED strip lights, and artificial plants have profoundly impacted our classroom, transforming it into a more engaging, welcoming, and productive environment. These tools are helping my students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
The calming strips have been an invaluable addition to our social-emotional learning tools. Students who struggle with focus or experience anxiety now use them as a discreet and effective way to manage stress. The tactile sensory experience helps students stay grounded during lessons, enhancing their ability to concentrate. Meanwhile, the inspirational stickers have sparked positivity and creativity. Students love personalizing their notebooks, water bottles, and journals with motivational messages, which reinforce a growth mindset and boost self-confidence.
The surge protector with USB ports has streamlined the use of technology in our classroom. It's now much easier to keep all devices charged and ready for interactive lessons or independent research. The LED lights and artificial plants have transformed the classroom ambiance. The lights create a vibrant yet calming atmosphere, especially during group work or quiet reading time, while the artificial plants add a touch of warmth, making the space feel more inviting.
One student who initially struggled with staying engaged in class now frequently uses the calming strips and has become more confident and focused. Another student, known for their love of art, has taken the stickers to heart, designing personalized projects that inspire others. The LED lights have even inspired a small "tech team" of students to experiment with creating dynamic lighting effects to complement our lessons.

Funded Aug 17, 2024I am thrilled to share the impact that your generous donations have had on our classroom. The introduction of calming strips, LED lights, fake plants, a diffuser, and essential oils has transformed our learning environment into a sanctuary that fosters both focus and relaxation. Each day, my students eagerly use the calming strips, finding them to be a helpful tool in managing their stress and staying grounded during lessons. It has become a daily ritual for some, and I've noticed a significant improvement in their ability to concentrate and participate more actively in class discussions.
When my students first saw the materials, their excitement was palpable. The LED lights instantly brightened up the space, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that they adore. The curiosity around the calming strips quickly turned into appreciation as they discovered how effective they are in helping them feel more at ease. The addition of the diffuser and essential oils, paired with the fake plants, has also enhanced the overall ambiance of the room, making it a soothing place to learn. Social Studies Success
Funded Oct 21, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom! Your donations have helped to create a positive classroom environment where all students are encouraged to succeed. You have helped to eliminate obstacles to learning and ensure that I can provide students with the tools they need. With your donations, I have also been able to ensure that I have a clean and healthy environment for students.
I have the air purifier running during the day to keep the air clean, and have been using the Lysol Air Spray to help keep sickness at bay. The reading posters you helped to provide have been a great reference tool while students are practicing positive reading skills. I now have a space to organize the chargers you helped to provide with the 5 Drawer Rolling Cart. Students now have access to snacks to help them focus and I am able to better stay organized with some of the resources you helped to provide.

Pencils, Markers, Candy, Oh My!
Funded Aug 27, 2023Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom. Because of your generous donations, students have a better path to success with less obstacles in their way. There is also more opportunities to motivate students.
Being able to provide students with basic classroom supplies, like pencils, markers, colored pencils, and rulers immediately gets rid of the notion that if they aren't prepared they don't have to participate. It is so easy to give a kid a pencil and paper and know they are prepared for the day and are able to learn! Since we are a one-to-one school, students are expected to have a charged computer. Having extra chargers available once again eliminates another obstacle that students might have when it comes to learning. Having a neat place to store all of these is ideal, and that is where it is so great to have the five extra drawers of storage.

This classroom project was brought to life by Colorado Department of Education.Two Screens for Hybrid Teaching
Funded Feb 19, 2021Thank you so much for your generous contribution to my classroom. It has made a world of difference both for myself and for my students.
Having two screens for hybrid teaching has allowed me the opportunity to see my students on one screen and interact with content on another. Previously, I would either have to switch back and forth between Microsoft Teams and the content I was presenting or would have to have two small screens side by side. This side-by-side view made it hard to see what I was presenting to my students and to see all of my students in Teams. Often, I would miss a hand raised until I was well past what they had a question on, simply because the Teams screen was too small. Now, I can have Teams up on one computer screen, and the content I am presenting up on another screen. It has made my classes so much more enjoyable and has given me much better access to my students.”
