    Thanks to you, my students were able to have healthy and enjoyable snacks throughout their school day. The snacks you provided helped supplement their lunch time, which is scheduled for late in the school day.

    When my students first saw all of the snacks you helped provide they were so grateful. They asked me about who provided the snacks and I let them know about your kind a generous donation.

    My students will continue have snacks available for them before lunch throughout their school day. We will work on creating a toiletry pantry for our students next.”

The snacks that I am requesting for my students will help them focus throughout their long school day without hunger getting in the way of their learning. Research shows that hunger may impact a child’s school performance, as children from families who are not sure where their next meal may come from have lower math scores and repeat a grade, among other challenges. By providing my students with a small snack, in the event they feel hungry throughout their school day before lunch at 1 pm​, you are helping them grow, develop and focus on learning instead of thinking about the food they need. Ultimately, they need to be able to concentrate in the classroom so they can succeed in school and be prepared for fruitful futures.
