I envision my students becoming proficient in the English language while jammin' to music, learning digitally, and feeling the accomplishment of becoming proficient readers. This is especially important for the displaced students from Puerto Rico! They will use the Flocabulary subscription in small groups as well as individually. The music is super engaging especially for students who are learning a new language. Using rhythm and rhyme along with catchy lyrics allows everyone to feel successful. The book, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is part of the eighth grade curriculum for Language Arts. It would be fantastic if every student could physically touch their own book while in class.
