Reading and Comprehension is a big issue in my classroom. It is a daily struggle that effects the students growth by limiting their ability to understand of the focus, follow procedures and grasp major concepts. My students need 40 headphones for audio and reading assistance in the classroom. The headphones will allow the students to work independently at their own pace to through investigations. Computer programs for extra support or enrichment on major concepts in Science are accessible online with reading assistance that explore the concepts through interactive activities that students can work through at their pace. Th headphones will open up the world of Science to students that learn more through pictures and activities than words. The headphones will open another avenue for students to learn and hopefully shrink the gap of achievement.
