Preparation: the Key to Success
Funded Dec 13, 2024I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations to my classroom. Your kindness and generosity make a world of difference for my students and help create an engaging and well-equipped learning environment.
Thanks to your generosity my students have the supplies needed to succeed. The dry erase markers, dry erase boards, and markers are used daily so having a donation of these items is greatly appreciated. The wipes are used at the end of each school day to wipe student desks and other high touch surfaces to limit the spread of germs.
Your contribution not only provides essential supplies but shows my students that there are people who believe in them and support their educational journey. I'd also like to thank Carters/ OshKosh B'Gosh for your support in funding this project!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Balutis

Funded Aug 16, 2024I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of a class set of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane books to our classroom. Your contribution has enriched our classroom library. Allowing my students to each have their own copy has brought so much excitement to our real aloud time.
Your support plays a critical role in fostering the love of reading and helping my students build their literacy skills.
Thank you again for your thoughtful donation to my students in Brockton, MA. It truly makes a difference in the lives of my students!”

"Share" Our Learning of Fractions!
Funded Mar 23, 2018My students were so excited the day the boxes got delivered! I hadn't told them that I had posted a project. They were thrilled to hear all about Donors Choose and how generous both businesses and individuals are with supporting classrooms.
Two major concepts taught in third grade are fractions and multiplication. The 3- D fraction models were put to use immediately. We used them to see a concrete representation of fractional equivalences. My students were able to gain the concept at the concrete level before moving to paper and pencil. The wipe off multiplication cards were used during math workshop. We always had a math fluency station and these cards were added to allow for more freedom when practicing their multiplication facts. I love that are self- correcting! I had students master their facts more than ever before!
This was my first project and am so grateful that 3M funded the entire thing. I really appreciate the kindness and generosity. 3M and Donors Choose has made teaching math a little easier for this grade 3 teacher. It has also made my third grade students enjoy learning about fractions and multiplication!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Balutis
