The purpose of this list is to provide sensory options for the students in my classroom. The items in this list will provide students a safe outlet for movement. By allowing students to wiggle safely, I hope to increase the student's ability to focus as well as engagement in what is happening in the classroom. Sometimes kids just need to wiggle. So often I feel that student who are perceived as naughty are really just struggling to control their bodies. The seating options will provide opportunities for the students to direct their physical energy so their mental energy can be focused on the lesson.

About my class
