As a self-contained Special Education teacher in a low income school, my students are faced with many challenges. With the addition of these iPads and cases into my classroom, my students will be able to actively communicate their wants and needs through technology. Our students disabilities range from moderate to severe. The majority of my students are non-verbal and having access to an iPad would be detrimental to their learning. Using iPads will enhance their communication skills and be active members of our school community. As their teacher, it is my job to provide them with experiences to enhance not only their academics, but also their social and emotional skills.
