My students need regular access to technology in order to explore and research on the Internet. Textbooks are often dated and limited, but the internet has endless possibilities for new information. My second graders are ready to research, read, and create. Having Chromebooks in the classroom would allow this. These Chromebooks would make it possible for my students to gather information and demonstrate their knowledge in a creative way using Google Slides and other technology-based programs. What was once only imagined is now possible through the use of technology. With Chromebooks in our classroom, my students will be able to access the Internet during our literacy stations and math stations and explore the concepts even further. Additionally, the school district will install the device manager licenses, allowing for repairs and maintenance to occur if needed. With this additional technology, students can share their knowledge with their peers through slide show projects, track their reading fluency progress using Google sheets, or even publish their original story through Google docs. The possibilities are endless.
