Thank you for your donation. I was able to help myself and my students immensely with technology. It is important to me to keep myself up to date with technology and all that it has to offer. With the ever changing technology, with the different platforms offered, it is imperative that I stay trained.

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.

All of my students receive free breakfast and free lunch. In a low-income area like mine, my students do not always come to school with the materials they need to be successful. Technology makes students innovative and worldly. I've already introduced a few new technology items to our classroom. Learning is no longer just reading and writing; it's applied skills. Technology has so much to offer our students beyond the Chromebooks. With the iPad, our students will be exposed to the world of Apple, that provides things such as pages, notes, and slides as a new way to present school work. Students become engineers creating and piecing together things on these devices. This device offers a different experience due to its different software, which makes them more marketable once they've been exposed to different types of software. More importantly, it allows students to become ready for post secondary education, or the workforce. This helps to teach them beyond the content, but allows them to develop real world skills.
