  • Basic Supplies for First Grade!

    Funded Feb 15, 2020

Thank you for your generous donation of basic supplies for my First Grade class. My students and I thoroughly enjoyed the poster boards for art projects. We read a book titled Map and Me and they illustrated what they have read in the book. I was so delighted to see them enjoying the activity and so engaged.

Again, due to your generous donation students were able to learn how to draw using all the different mediums. Crayons, markers and pencils. They were thrilled to use the new materials as the old crayons were already broken. Many of my students are so creative and artistic.

When I got the copy paper it was truly a gi&as I nothing le& and my students were able

Finally able to work on their foldables with your donation. They wrote about story elements such as time, setting, characters, and plot. I was so proud that I displayed their work on the wall.

Once again, thank you for your donation for my students this academic year. My students would not have the experience to discover their artistic side in such a beautiful way if it weren't for your contribution.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ramirez

Technology is no longer a luxury, it is a basic tool students need to succeed. My students need more access to computers. We live in a technology infused world now. Everything is done on the computer, from ordering pens to groceries. Children attending my school live in a low socioeconomic area and don't have access to technology. All of our state testing is completed on the computer. Some of our kids don't even know how to use a mouse. We only have a few computers in my class so utilization of i-Ready is difficult to do. There are tons of web-based learning and educational programs and activities that children at my school could benefit from. Having access to the programs could assist with school success, social skills, and with math skills. The children at my school would greatly benefit from having more access to technology related items in my classroom.
