We love giving our students cross-curricular experiences that connect learning to life! The reasons we would like to take our students to Gettysburg, PA is to have the opportunity to expose students to the Gettysburg National Historic site that they have been studying in both history and literature classes. They will experience museums, local history, and facts about the area.
This experience will allow them to connect the classroom to the world.
This cross-curricular experience will give students the opportunity to connect their learning to the world.
Our reasoning for choosing a day at Hershey Park is to give students the opportunity observe the physical, mathematical, and scientific nature of the rides present throughout the park. They can connect their experiences to STEM by learning and seeing how applied math, physics, and science are used when planning a park. They will also have the opportunity to visit Zoo America to observe animals from various regions of North America. Students will have the opportunity to participate in the exploration of the zoo and interact with staff and animals in their care.
