Students participate in a Get Ready to Learn Yoga program to help calm there bodies and minds each morning to prepare themselves for academic work throughout the day. Unfortunately my students have a hard time participating because they spend a majority of their time picking pieces out of the foam yoga mats.
My hope is that with fabric yoga mats my students will be able to participate on clearing their minds and calming their bodies for the school day. I hope that we will be able to achieve this with these yoga mats since it will help keep my students focused on the screen rather then peeling the foam yoga mats. Once the students are able to successfully participate correctly in Get Ready to Learn we hope they will be able to stay calm and focused throughout the school and day.
