  • Where In The World Is.....

    Funded Jan 10, 2012

I'd like to start by thanking you for this great opportunity for my students. My students were able to study about and research different places around the world. Their enthusiasm while doing this project was contagious! My students have a new found love and appreciation for different cultures around the world.

I enjoyed putting together and executing this great hands-on project that incorporate many different academic subjects. They learned to research, draw, put a power point together, writing, social studies, public speaking and geography!

The end result was incredible and I can't wait to be able to do something similar next academic school year. Once again thanks!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Maldonado

  • Let's Learn

    Funded Jan 26, 2012

Thank you so much for giving my students the opportunity to have a tablet. With technology playing such an integral part in our society it is imperative that students are taught how to use these devices at a young age.

With your donation my students were able to learn how to use a tablet to play educational games that differentiated instruction. Our goal as a school is to be able to offer up to date technology to all of our students and with this tablet we are getting one step closer to reaching this goal.

Once again thank you and may you continue donating!”

  • Art Smart

    Funded Jan 28, 2012

I'd like to express my most sincere gratitude for making this project come to life. Our Kindergarteners had an amazing time painting and being "free". Their enthusiasm was contagious and they were extremely happy to have had the opportunity to paint on a daily basis.

Your contribution allowed these students to experience art in a non classroom environment and to paint to their hearts desire! I hope that in the future you will continue to donate to such a worthy cause because the impact that your donations have on our students is more than you can ever imagine.

    Once again THANKS!!!!”

  • Let's Learn About Our Senses!

    Funded Jan 17, 2012

I'd like to thank each and every one of you for your generous donation to my project. I worked with two Preschool and two kindergarten classes on the five senses and they had a blast learning this unit. The lessons were hands on and very engaging thanks to the wonderful materials I was able to purchase through DonorsChoose.

The students enjoyed exploring each and every one of their senses in a way that was fun and hand hand-on. One of their favorite lessons was the sense of touch where they got to make snow and goo and explore it to their hearts desire!

Once again thank you and may you always find it in your heart to donate to such great causes!”

  • Art Supplies

    Funded Feb 11, 2010

I want to thank you for giving my students the opportunity to create and enjoy art. With all the budget cuts and emphasis on academic achievement art has been moved to the side. With your help I was able to offer after school art classes which serviced a total of 50 students. The students were always excited and eager to come to class to create new and fun projects.

It is because of wonderful and generous people like you that schools are able to go above and beyond to provide exciting opportunities for our young generation. I hope that in the future you continue to donate to such a worthy organization like Donors Choose.

Once again thank you for giving us this wonderful opportunity! The students and I are truly grateful.”

Once again thanks a million and may you continue to fund much needed projects like ours!

Teaching kids has always been my passion. Currently I am the school coordinator but I teach a lot of enrichment classes after school, Arts and Crafts is one of my favorites. I teach students in grades K-6th and having them come to class and see art come alive is one of the best feelings ever. Our school is a low income school where our students are not always exposed to any extra curricular programs.
