Herbs in Action

Help me give my students the enjoyable educational experiences of creating bath products and baked goods. Supplies such as salts, oils, and drying racks allow students to explore the diverse applications of their herbs that they have grown.

  • Taste the Sereni-TEA

    Funded Mar 2, 2025

We extend our deepest gratitude to our generous donors for their invaluable support in bringing the enriching experience of plant cultivation, herb drying, and tea making to our students. Your contributions have enabled us to create a hands-on learning environment where students delve into the wonders of botany, ecology, and the practical skills of sustainable living. Through your kindness, they've witnessed the miracle of seed germination, learned the art of preserving nature's bounty, and discovered the soothing rituals of herbal tea. This immersive experience not only imparts essential scientific knowledge but also cultivates a deep appreciation for the natural world and its profound impact on our well-being.

Your generosity has directly translated into a holistic educational journey, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and a sense of responsibility in our students. By nurturing their connection to plants, you've empowered them to understand the interconnectedness of life and the importance of environmental stewardship. The lessons learned extend far beyond the garden, influencing their understanding of health, nutrition, and cultural traditions. We are immensely thankful for your commitment to enriching the lives of our students and for helping us cultivate a generation of informed and conscientious citizens.”

  • Harmony for Minds: Supporting Student Mental Health Through Sound Baths

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation of musical instruments to our classroom. Your support is truly making a difference in the lives of my students, and I wanted to share how your contribution is being put to good use.

With these instruments, our classroom has become a place where students not only learn to play music, but also find moments of mindfulness and peace. Whether it's the calming sound of a hand drum, the soothing melodies of a xylophone, or the joy of strumming a guitar, these instruments offer students a way to express themselves, focus their minds, and experience the healing power of music. For some, it's a chance to escape into a moment of tranquility, while for others, it's an opportunity to connect with their peers in a meaningful, non-verbal way.

Through both playing and listening to music from others, students are learning valuable skills in concentration, patience, and emotional expression. Music has become an integral part of our daily routine, providing moments of calm and reflection that help to center their minds and reduce stress. It's amazing to see how, through the act of creating and listening, they are discovering new ways to process their feelings and stay present in the moment.

Your donation is truly enriching their educational experience in ways that extend beyond academics. I am so grateful for your generosity, and I can already see the positive impact it's having on the students' well-being and sense of community. Thank you for helping to bring the power of music into their lives!”

    With gratitude,

  • Engaging Math Lessons for All

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

I hope you had great holiday season and this new year has started off on the right foot. I wanted to say a big thank you for your support. You can see in the "elf" photo that the students and I had a great time turning ourselves into elvs for the holiday season with things a purchased on Teachers Pay Teachers. We have also started our year putting together new binders that will stay with us for the 3 years they are here with me at RdV. Thank you so much for your support and assistance so that I can get these and many other items throughout the year.”

  • Masks for the Masses

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

We cannot thank you enough for all of your support with this project. Word has gotten out at the school that I am the teacher with the masks and com in often to replace the one they have- either it doesn't fit or the ear straps broke, or it is the "icky blue ones" and just want the "cool black mask". They are so very thankful. As a side bonus- the soaps have been great too.

Even though the mask mandate has been lifted, but still encouraged, most of our students continue to feel more comfortable with them on.”

    With gratitude,

  • Teachers Pay Teachers the Gift of Time

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you soo much for contributing to this project. With your generous donations it has freed up some planning time so I may get assessments done, complete the extra paper work and data that the state is requiring and still create great engaging lessons for my students.

Testing is a big part of Special Education. Even during this pandemic we are still going to school and safely meeting with students one-on-one to find out their levels of need. While it has been strange- it is great to see the kids sparkling eyes that just doesn't come thorough a computer screen.

During this stay at home order and distant learning time the state is requiring a great deal of data- who is showing up to class, for how long, and how much work are they actually completing. Spreadsheet after spreadsheet is needing to be filled out and cross- checked.

As they say- the band must play on. In this situation the classes and learning must go on. Teachers-Pay-Teachers offers soo many lessons for everything under the sun. If you look closely you can find activities that get the kids learning while enjoying some laughs with their friends- like escape rooms, puzzles, and videos.”

  • Farm to Table Fun

    Funded Dec 11, 2018

Thank you soo much for helping our vision come to fruition. When our supplies arrived the students couldn't wait to get started. After much discussion about the jam- they decided they wanted to wait so they could gift their families with jam for Valentines Day. With all of the rain they thought- couldn't we use the the instant pot to boil water? So we all decided to have some hot chocolate while we filled the humming bird feeders with nectar. During this time we were able to discuss the importance of pollinators in our orchard and about life in general. These times out of the desks working together is so very valuable. We look forward to making our gifts of jam next week.”

My students have been working hard to create an amazing garden. It's so great that the local bunnies are enjoying it as well. This new fence would help keep the bunnies and other critters out as well as make it look like the beautiful garden it can be. The fence will also help keep the ground cover in around the boxes. We hooked up with the art classes to create amazing stepping stones to go around the boxes. In the past we have grown kale, tomatoes, eggplant, bell peppers, artichokes, and flowers just to name a few. Gardening time is a great time to build community with in the classroom. We also integrate science and math as we watch our plants thrive.
