My students need an HP Printer to incorporate 21st century technology into their history instruction. Technological literacy is essential if our students are to be competitive in a 21st century global economy. As a result of this, integrating technology into classroom instruction should be one of the top priorities of any good educator. Access to technology would allow students to be active participants in the learning process rather than passive recipients of information, which would ensure they develop a better depth of knowledge of the concepts they are learning. It also allows for differentiation not only on the basis of academic levels, but for interests, as well. My students need a printer to help them gain the skills that will enable them to compete in a 21st century global economy. Using the printer along with computer technology in a collaborative learning environment for researching, writing and mathematical application skills, rather than just simple drills and practice, helps foster student creativity, collaboration, and communication. The use of technology in the classroom allows instruction to be highly customizeable; students can work independently or collaboratively as active participants in the learning process rather than passive recipients of information.
