Funded May 3, 2022My students really enjoyed these materials to use during our gardening unit last school year. This year I am eager to get them out for use with my current class. They have seen a few of the items while the cupboard is open and they are eager to use them as well.
My students learned about planting during the unit, we created a garden mural of flowers, worms, dirt, plant roots and butterflies to share with our families. We planted bean and radish seeds and conducted experiments with water and sun to see if plants truly need water, sun and dirt to grow. We watched worms as they broke down food scraps.
To end the unit we held a garden party to show our parents all that we had learned. The families painted rocks to take home for their own gardens, made seed bombs of wildflower seeds to plant, danced and played, looked at murals, ate a plant snack and had the best time celebrating the learning.
We made all of this possible thanks to your donations.”
With gratitude,
