  • Basic Care Needs

    Funded Jan 9, 2024

Thank you for funding this important project to secure some much needed care items that will help to keep our students in school.

It will not only help my class of kids this year but everyone on my team knows to come and get a change of clothes from me and so it will benefit over 80 students.”

  • Growing Plants and Kindergarteners

    Funded Apr 29, 2023

Thank you for making our garden party a great success. Teachers, children and families gathered to engage in garden related activities and children were able to show off what they have learned and worked on during the "Growing our Garden" unit.

During the party families rotated through 5 centers. They sang songs and read a The Hungry Caterpillar while seated on picnic blankets. They engaged in lawn games using hula hoops, stilt walkers and other lawn activities. They planted seed bomb and blended paper to plant the seeds. They had a gummy work dirt snack and played with bubbles. Finally they painted rocks.

Displayed for families were the planting experiments children completed during the unit as well as any other plants children grew. We also created a garden mural to show who lives in a garden as well as any plants we wanted to grow in our garden mural.

To invite families children wrote their own invitations and party programs and delivered them to their family.

Our party was covered by our local School new network which is a fun and lasting memory to share of the great fun we had thanks to donors like you!”

  • Explore and Relax

    Funded Sep 15, 2022

This project was a great addition to our classroom. I am so thankful that you decided to support this project and bring it to life.

Students really enjoy the sound capsules and trying to figure out what is inside each one, getting to spin it open and see if they are correct brought a lot of joy.

This project also brought storage to our calming space. Magnetic hooks and bins helped us to hang visuals, store fidget and books about emotions. A mindful board reminded children how to take proper breaths to calm our body when upset. This space was much utilized this year and we were so thankful to have it so well organized.

The final item this project brought to our room was a measuring chart. Children were able to track their growth to see how they have changed over a school year.

Thank you for your continued support to our room and education. Students and teachers rely on donors like you and are ever appreciative of your support!”

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you for supporting this project so that we and the students can hear each other well. I’m excited to be able to have both teachers functioning with microphones and students to utilize during sharing times. I know the students will be excited too as they love to use the teacher microphone.”

  • Little Free Library for Little Learners and Their Community

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Having a little free library at our school has been incredibly beneficial to our students and the community. I am filling the library with books weekly and know that it's making the desired impact as its utilized so frequently.

Access to literacy is key to improving scores in our district and I am grateful that you helped me to give families access to books in their community at a space they need to visit and a place to store books that is always accessible.

I have been blessed a number of times with teachers clearing out personal libraries and adding them to the little library, I have also received a donation of books from the Teacher Storehouse of Community Resources who receives books from companies like scholastic and Meijer. Thanks to them the little library has yet to sit empty!

If you're in the area stop by, share a book, borrow a book and support the communities literacy.”

  • Growing, Growing, Growth. PreK Kiddos Want to Grow.

    Funded May 3, 2022

My students really enjoyed these materials to use during our gardening unit last school year. This year I am eager to get them out for use with my current class. They have seen a few of the items while the cupboard is open and they are eager to use them as well.

My students learned about planting during the unit, we created a garden mural of flowers, worms, dirt, plant roots and butterflies to share with our families. We planted bean and radish seeds and conducted experiments with water and sun to see if plants truly need water, sun and dirt to grow. We watched worms as they broke down food scraps.

To end the unit we held a garden party to show our parents all that we had learned. The families painted rocks to take home for their own gardens, made seed bombs of wildflower seeds to plant, danced and played, looked at murals, ate a plant snack and had the best time celebrating the learning.

We made all of this possible thanks to your donations.”

  • Set Us Up for Success

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you for providing these items to my students. The use of the hooks has made our life so much easier as they are at the right height, are more sturdy and have increased my students independence.

Having new whiteboards has been a wonderful addition to the room. The old ones we had were so worn out that it was difficult to use them. Having whiteboards in working order has made our writing more successful.

This project also provided wiggle seats. This has helped my students to focus on the learning instead of the wiggles that they need to get out in order to have success.

You have blessed us and I hope that you continue to support my littles on their education journey.”

My students are dreamers, they aspire to do big things. My goal: to give them everything I can so that they can turn dreams into reality. We are almost entirely low-income households; funds are limited. Children from my program qualify based on a set of factors such as home language, homelessness, income, learning delays, etc. We need your help to provide the tools & materials necessary for a strong foundation in education. I hope that every student that leaving my classroom not only learns something but feels empowered in the knowledge they've gained. It is my hope that I will have fostered a love for learning & a desire for success. I believe in my students future & hope that others do as well. My students are the next business leaders & parental role models for the next generation. It's my job to support those dreams by giving them the learning that jump starts their aspirations. Join me by helping my project!
