Many of our littlest learners come into school with a very limited skill set in managing negative feelings. Often, they want to argue or fight when they get upset. These resources will help the children learn through fun activities like stories and colorful pictures that there are safer, healthier ways to manage feeling angry, sad, or frustrated. The idea is to help the preK, K and first graders these skills so that as they move into older grades they have the ability to successfully handle the increasing challenges that will inevitably come their way. Teaching children from an early age how to safely manage strong, negative emotions helps them to be better prepared to learn in the school environment.
