  • Making a Home into a Classroom!

    Funded Dec 10, 2020

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. During these times being able to provide students with a method of showing their understanding on something different than a computer makes learning more fun and engaging. Many of the students spend 5-6 hours a day in front of a computer screen so giving them the ability to show their work on something other than a computer and makes them feel like they are more in a classroom than at home is a great feeling! The students are very excited to receive their white boards and they look forward to using them! Thank you again for providing my students with supplies to make their home feel more like a classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Rutherford

  • Starting the Year Off Right!

    Funded Jul 25, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity! The supplies you are giving my students helps get the year started with necessary items. The supplies you are providing them with setup them up for success and helps them stay organized throughout the year. This donation lifts the financial burden off of the families and off of me. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!”

  • Tapping into Technology!

    Funded May 6, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity! I cannot wait to get back into the classroom after our closure to be able to use the chrome books with the students. After having to adjust to virtual learning I have realized how important having technology in the classroom is. Students have to be familiar with technology and feel comfortable using it. These chrome books will allow them to learn a life skill. Thank you again!”

  • Audio Technology

    Funded Oct 23, 2019

My students are so appreciative of being able to have the headphones to listen to the listening parts of their test, being able to use the technology more in class, and also having the ability to watch educational video clips with sound.

I look forward to being able to plan more lessons incorporating technology including video and audio clips for the students to watch and listen to. Many students thrive being able to visually see and hear examples of what they are learning. Having a class set of headphones allows us to be able to do this.

Thank you again for your generosity!”

  • Take a Closer Look

    Funded Dec 12, 2019

The students were so excited when they came back from their winter break to learn that they had received microscopes from a generous donor. They were thrilled and could not wait to use them.

We were able to use them right away to check out human skin under a microscope along with a mouth smear. The students were fascinated and engaged throughout the entire lesson. They had a lot of questions and were very inquisitive of what they just saw under the microscopes.

They cannot wait to see what else they will be able to view in the future. Thank you so much for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

  • Art in the Classroom!

    Funded May 14, 2019

The students were thrilled to receive new art supplies! They could hardly contain their excitement. They were jumping up and down cheering. They kept asking where I got the supplies from so I was able to explain to them that we had generous people donate them to our classroom. They were excited for all of the new colors and having their own set of art supplies.

The students were able to use their art supplies while creating a picture to go along with their informational writing about National parks. They were able to use them during an art lesson where we made cards for a teacher that is moving out of state. They are so appreciative of the new supplies. Thank you again for your generosity!”

  • Getting Comfy!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

The students were very excited to see your generous gift. They love being able to use the beanbags to sit in to read their books. Along with having storage bins to create more room in their desk for the schoolwork. It's dividers have a loud test to become a more accurate and assessment. By helping keep the students eyes on her own paper to prevent any cheating or copying off of each other's work. You'll never understand the impact your truly made on my students. We greatly appreciate your generosity!”

Having a class set of dividers will help students keep their eyes on their own paper while testing. It helps me better assess my students and where they are academically by giving the students a way to protect their responses. Therefore the tests will be an accurate representation of what each student knows. Giving the students flexible seating options can help those that have trouble sitting in a traditional chair and desk setup succeed. The reading chair and the bean bag would also give them options for where they can sit and read a book in our class library. The bean bag chair and reading chair will provide students with new places to complete their assignments.
