  • Bringing our Scholar Learning to a New Level

    Funded Apr 22, 2024

The students were so excited to see the whiteboards. These boards allow for them to show their learning in a new and exciting way. The mobile whiteboards allow for each group to demonstrate and track their learning, this would allow for students to take their learning to a new level. They will be able to collaborate in new ways and it can be saved over several days to allow for them to deep dive into the text. Students will be able to collaborate in scholarly groups and use the whiteboards to demonstrate their learning through questioning and AVID strategies geared towards challenging the students.

The dry erase whiteboards will also give students a chance to learn from one another through collaboration and working together to solve and answer questions. Students would be able to use these whiteboards to support their learning along with demonstrating what they have learned as a group.

Thank you so much for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Rutherford

  • PE Equipment Needed

    Funded Dec 14, 2023

My students were so excited to see all the new equipment and be able to play all new games during P.E. We have been able to incorporate so many new games and new activities. The students have been much more enthusiastic about going outside to P.E. and trying new games that incorporate the equipment.

We have been able to play games that our P.E. curriculum and Playworks coach teach us. Prior to receiving the equipment we had not been able to play many of these games due to only having a few balls to share across the grade level.

Your donation has impacted our entire 5th grade which consists of 4 classrooms. We are extremely grateful for your generosity and giving us the ability to offer a variety of games to our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Rutherford

  • Community Building to Get Off to a Good Start

    Funded Aug 13, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. The students were thrilled to read the new books and listen to stories that they have not heard yet. In 5th grade students are not often read to unless it is a novel. So the students were excited for the stories that we shared together. They were also very excited to be able to make their own bracelets to represent our class and our diversity within our classroom. Thank you again for your generosity and giving my students a new experience at the start of their final year in elementary school.”

  • STEM Ways to Start Our Day!

    Funded May 10, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. Students often show up to school and have the same morning activities to start their day off with. The STEM activities allow them to start off their day a little different and with more enthusiasm. Their faces lite up with surprise that all of the supplies and activities were for them. It makes it so the day in the classroom starts out with everyone having fun and a little excitement while learning at the same time. I am extremely grateful that you were able to help provide this for my students this year. Thank you so much!”

  • Basic School Supplies

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. Students often show up to school on the first day with little to no supplies with them so for them to have a all the supplies they need for the year sitting out on their desk was absolute joy. Their faces lite up with surprise that all of the supplies were for them. It makes it so the classroom starts out with everyone having the same supplies and no one in the need for anything. I am extremely grateful that you were able to help provide this for my students this year. Thank you so much!”

  • Basic Supplies are a Need

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

The supplies came at the perfect time! The ability to give my students basic supplies like a pencil is amazing! Pencils get broke, lost, or taken outside never to be seen again. It's so convenient and nice to be able to provide my students with such a simple supply as a pencil when they need one.

The students were thrilled and so excited to see the supplies. They were shocked to see all of the pencils and so excited at the same time. They love being able to throughly clean their whiteboards when we use them. They were so greatly for the generous donation.”

  • Creating a More Welcoming Classroom

    Funded Sep 10, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donation. The students have loved the books and the ability to use crayons to match their skin color. Working with such a diverse of students from such diverse backgrounds the crayon set allows for all students to be able to use a color that closely resembles their skin color. The books allowed for the students to be able to relate to characters and helped create a more diverse classroom library for my students. Thank you again for being so generous and supporting my students needs.”

  • Let’s Get Hands On with Science!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity! The students have been thoroughly enjoying science and having a more hands on approach with it. They are more engaged in the science lessons and it has helped peak their interest and curiosity in science and the world around us. They are asking more questions and has definitely help engage them more into the learning that is taking place in the classroom. The body with the organs has been named and have intrigued the students in their organs and how the body works. Thank you again for your generosity!!”

  • Math Activities and Manipulatives

    Funded May 27, 2021

My students were so excited to learn about the new math manipulatives we received. I was able to use them to help support their learning of a new concept but also to remind them of the concepts that they had previously learned in the 4th grade. They enjoyed using the resources to practice what they had learned. I noticed that the resources really assisted my students who need manipulatives to support their learning and assist them in understanding new concepts. I look forward to not only continuing to use them to introduce new concepts but also to allow the early finishers to continue to practice the concepts they have learned previously. Thank you again for your generosity!”

  • School Supplies

    Funded Apr 29, 2021

The supplies gave my students a great start to the school year. The students and parents did not have to worry about supplying their students with the necessary supplies that they needed this year. These supplies could have created a hardship for their families so the supplies enabled them to rest easy when it came to making sure their student has the tools they need in the classroom. They also help create equality in my room because every student has the same supplies so no one is left out or missing something. Thank you again for your generosity.”

Having a class set of dividers will help students keep their eyes on their own paper while testing. It helps me better assess my students and where they are academically by giving the students a way to protect their responses. Therefore the tests will be an accurate representation of what each student knows. Giving the students flexible seating options can help those that have trouble sitting in a traditional chair and desk setup succeed. The reading chair and the bean bag would also give them options for where they can sit and read a book in our class library. The bean bag chair and reading chair will provide students with new places to complete their assignments.
