The students spend long hours in the shop building, programming and testing the robot. The competitions are just as grueling and require a great deal of food and drink. In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, the team would like to have stainless steel water bottles. It may seem frivolous,but as a team of future scientists and engineers (as well as teachers, artists, marketing executives, bankers and more) we understand the need to stop using so much plastic. So, instead of using anywhere from 30-100 bottles of water a weekend, we would like to have a set of water bottles that can be used, washed and reused. Each bottle will be assigned to a team member and we will save almost 1000 plastic bottles from ever being used!!!
