  • Surface Learning!

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation. You have placed many smiles on my students face. They are so excited when they receive new technology that is reliable and functioning. They treat it with more respect because they know that it is new and it was not easy to receive new technology in the class. If it was not for donors like you this would not be possible. At the end of the year I plan on gifted a student the laptop that truly needs and deserve it. I have been doing this for the students and it brings tears to their eyes to know that they are loved and good things comes to them when they do good things.”

  • Mac Book For Deserving Students!

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

Thank you so much for making a difference in our class and during our afternoon program. There is only so much that we can do during the school day. Students are so interested in making a difference in the school and community that they have decided to stay after school to meet with me and plan activities.

Although there is a lack some of technology needed this Macbook has made a difference. Students are handling it with care and are excited to have a reliable, fast computer so that they can continue to do projects, complete homework assignments and complete research. Many of the students have not had the opportunity to ever touch a Mac book. Allowing students to use the mac book during class for projects, assessments and assignments makes them feel important.”

  • Work, Study, Snack!

    Funded Dec 31, 2021

Thank you so much for the snacks and incentives. As the boxes are coming in the students are so excited to receive them. They are really doing a good job despite the adversity with Covid 19. The more that they see I have to reward them with the more they try and push harder to try their best. I am so blessed to have donors like you that cares about the interest of the students. Most of the times snacks are rewarded to students and they are beyond thankful. I can not imagine what they are going through or why they are so happy to have snacks that get them through the day. I often forget to capture a picture of them with the snacks because it is surreal. I have been able to better connect with them because they know that I care and try to get them things that they like to encourage them to not give up. Thank you so much for blessing my classroom, our future.”

Being a reading teacher, I incorporate technology in my classroom on a daily basis. The core reading program that we use in the classroom has a technology piece where students access that program online. In addition, I provide my students with other online reading programs that target specifically their reading deficiencies to help build those skills that they need to become more effective readers. Also, technology is fun, engaging, and motivates the students to learn. Right now, my school's technology has suffered from Hurricane Irma and we are in the need of more computers and laptops. Being in Miami, I have many students that come from other countries and are learning English as a second language and recently, we have received many students from Puerto Rico that needed to leave their homes because of Hurricane Maria. I realize that I really need to help them become acclimated to a new place while learning to speak, read, and write English. My students learning English are able to access programs where they can translate words from their native language to English, use online programs to learn English, build their English vocabulary, and learn how to read and pronounce English words. Technology will make this possible. Please help fund my project so I can help my students become better readers and really learn English well.
