New Year, New Beginnings ...
Funded Nov 15, 2021I want to thank you so much for making this project possible. I prepared and planned this project based on the needs of my fantastic early childhood students. Not to long after I received the materials, it was announced that I will be sent to upper grades resource special education teacher. Most of the materials we received are used every day.
I was able to take some photos of the materials we received.
I am, as always, for ever thankful to know that so many people support teachers and our projects.”

Funded Apr 2, 2021I want to tell you how appreciative my students and I felt when we received a donation and when our project was finally funded. Last year was specially difficult for all of us teachers and students. We were so blessed that school provided the technology needed to learn in this new reality. However, bringing technology to the classrooms was full with other challenges I did not see coming.
The devices were coming to school with no charge and when it was time to work in small groups students found it difficult to concentrate due to the overload stimuli from all the sounds from peers' devices. Moreover, it was very difficult for them to stay seated longer than usual.
With all honesty, when my students saw the boxes coming, they did not understood my newfound happiness. Slowly, they realized that inside those boxes were very pretty and colorful headphones. Moreover, the headphones were light in weight and very easy to set on their heads. While seating, their normal leg-wiggles found the bands on their chairs' legs and they were visibly happy. They also learned technology responsibility skills by placing their iPads on the charging station and using the cleaning supplies to care for their devices.
Again, thank you all dear supporters that always help us teacher with the extra push we need to ensure our students have a positive learning environment with the tools needed to do so.”

Creative Minds in Training
Funded Dec 21, 2019Thank you so much for your support in getting these materials into the hands of my students! My students' faces lite the minute they saw the new centers.
My students are so interested in playing with the coding mouse. They practice directionality daily with their new friend! At this point, we are using 3-5 cards at the time, but I am sure our students will manage ten by the end of this school year.
Thank you again for supporting this project. You have made a tremendous impact in our classroom and with the students!”

Funded Apr 1, 2019I wanted to give a big thank you for funding "The Magic of Art as a Voice". Because of you, our students are creating incredible pieces of art and learning such an important skill. The main goal was to create our art center, however, we are using all these tools to enrich their learning experiences in all other subjects and centers. We are using the pads and stamps to practice one to one correspondence and the wood sticks to create shapes. They love to rainbow write and practice tracing skills while enjoying the scented markers. Dot-to-Dot sets are the most valuable items in our classroom. We practice colors, making a choice by pointing and/or verbally selecting the color they would like to use, practice patterns, and so many other activities.
Although it is hard to catch a picture that captures all the benefits of this donation,
I hope you can see the happiness these supplies have brought to our students.”

Fostering Individual and Independent Learning!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Our students now have several options to chose from to work on their target skills thanks to your generous help.
I was able to print, laminate, and prepare box tasks for every unit theme which makes their learning experience fun and engaging. They all come from a Hispanic descent, so they love bingo games. Thanks to your support, they are especially interested in the bingo activity for each theme. We now have zoo, farm, sea, and arctic animals bingo games. They really enjoy it! Another great addition, thanks to you, is the Chick a-chicka Boom Boom theme. We used the dry-erase-pocket bags for tracing letters. The bright colors were very engaging and the erasing part was especially fun for them.
To be honest, they could care less when I showed them the materials. However, tearing into those boxes and packaging was overwhelmingly fun! It took a while after teaching them to keep the materials in the assigned bins and the correct color coding. Nevertheless to say, sometimes Mondays are especially challenging.
At this time, I have colored coded the centers to match the supplies. I am working on exposing the students to the use of different colors in centers to prepare them for inclusion classrooms where centers don't use our system.”
