Let's Find Out Pre-K
Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you so much for the Weekly Readers for our Pre-K class. The children were so excited to read their own Weekly Reader.
We read them each week as a class. We would then read them in small groups. While in small groups we would focus on a skill, such has circle all the letter Ff in the Weekly Reader.
They would often take their Weekly Reader out during center time and take to the class library to read. At the end of the week, the children take them home to read to their families. Again, I can't thank you enough for your generosity!”

Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you very much for helping us with school supplies. The children kept all their supplies together in the pencil cases in their cubbies. They couldn't wait to participate in art projects and writing so they could use their own supplies.
The children were so excited to get their supplies. They were so surprised that they had everything they needed for Pre-K. I was so excited that they each had their own supplies and could stay safer.
We can't wait to continue to use all the supplies throughout the school year. Again, I can't than you enough for your generosity!”

Funded Mar 24, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donation. The materials were funded in the spring, however due to COVID-19, we just received the materials this fall. These multicultural materials are truly appreciated. The children were so excited to see them arrive and couldn't wait to start using them. It's was such a joy to see the children so happy.
As you can see in the photos, the children love the musical instruments. They couldn't wait to start using them. We even had to take them outside! They read the books often and enjoy working together to put the puzzle together.
It's so important for the children to be exposed to different cultures, as well as have materials from their own culture that they can relate to. These materials have given them that opportunity. Again, I can't thank you enough for your kindness!”

Funded Dec 28, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donation that enabled us to begin coding experiences in our class. The children were so excited when the boxes arrived and they couldn't wait to get started.
We worked with our computer science teacher to provide the best initial experience working with these coding materials. Each activity was introduced and then the children were put in small groups to explore. These materials are giving our children a head start in developing the essential coding skills they will need throughout their education.
Again, I can't thank you enough for your generosity and for giving my students invaluable experiences with these coding materials so they can gain the necessary skills for their future education.”

Funded Dec 8, 2019Thank you so much for the Legos. Before schools closed, the children had an opportunity to play, explore and build with the Legos. They were so excited when the boxes arrived and couldn't until we opened them. After the Legos were opened, they became a daily favorite.
The children loved the build cards that came with the Legos. They used them as templates to build. They also explored and built amazing structures on their own.
We loved how many Legos we received. It allowed for the class to build together, creating a greater sense of community in our class.
We can't thank you enough for this experience that was made possible through your generosity!”

Funded Mar 6, 2019Again, I want to thank you for your generosity. We are just learning how to read and how important it is. We are using Let's Find Out to read as a class and then the children get to read them in our classroom library before taking them home.
We are learning to look at pictures and listen to the text that goes along with each picture. We are using Let's Find Out to learn information on many different topics.
The children are so excited when we read Let's Find Out. They are especially excited when they get to bring them home to share with their families.
Your kindness is enriching the lives of our children. Thank you very much!”

Lighting Up Exploration
Funded Mar 24, 2018The children were so excited when we received our light cube and manipulatives. During our light unit we explored such concepts as translucency and opaqueness.
In addition to learning about light, the children used the light cube to explore math concepts. They used the manipulatives to explore shapes, sorting objects into groups, colors, and counting. Exploring math using the light cube provided an added interest in reinforcing concepts that had already been taught.
We are very grateful for your generosity. Your donation gave the children a unique way to explore light and the properties of light. Thank you!”

Magical Painted Lady Transformation
Funded Apr 6, 2018My children were mesmerized when we received the caterpillars. We had learned about them and the changes they make, but to actually see them was a gift. They ran into the classroom everyday to see the changes.
It was so exciting when the painted ladies emerged from their chrysalis. We observed them for a couple days, making sure they were strong. Then we took them outside and released them. It was amazing!
The children were able to reinforce what they were learning by using the models to replicate the life cycle of a butterfly. They also retold the life cycle using the big book and puppets.
It was truly an amazing experience for the children and we are grateful for your generosity.”
