Students who are focused on hunger find it difficult, if not impossible, to focus on learning. By providing students with healthy, tasty treats, they will be more inclined to fill their bellies. Then they can focus on learning and growing into the learners that I know they can be. They can learn about healthy choices while eliminating a barrier to their learning. Filling snacks like turkey sausage sticks and oatmeal bars help to keep tummies full for longer periods of time. Supplementing those with fruit bars and crackers will provide a variety of options from which the students can choose.
