  • Printing Station!

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom! We are going to have a great year, and we appreciate your generous donation. I can’t wait to update you with all of the wonderful projects my students have been able to do because of you! Thank you thank you!”

    With gratitude,

  • STEM Station for 3rd Grade Scientists

    Funded Jan 25, 2018

Thank you all so much for your generous donations! My third graders love experimenting with our class's new science kits. They have been really enjoying getting a hands on experience with building chain reactions, simple machines, and electric cars and robots. Our next step is designing boats, bridges, and planes using concepts they have learned with their science kits! At the ages of 8 and 9, they have a great introduction to the beauty of how physical science can be used in the real world! Many of them are now saying that science is their favorite subject to learn at school.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tormey

Our little scientists are so eager to get their hands on tools that will help them understand, create, and experiment with force, motion, electricity, and other concepts embedded in our Next Generation Science Standards. A hands-on approach to learning is what they need to really become the scientists they are. While we do our best to learn from books, discussions, and videos, having physical materials to use is what students really need. Can you imagine if Thomas Edison didn't have filaments to experiment with, or if Alexander Graham Bell didn't get to experiment with wires that transmit sound? These physical science kits, like the Create-a-Chain Reaction STEM kit and the Physical Science Activities Lab, will inspire my students to apply their learning and think deeper into the world of engineering. Have you ever seen a child have an "aha" moment? I can't wait for more of these in our classroom!
