I can't even begin to describe the feeling the kids get when they come into my office now. They are in a more comfortable space and they are so much more relaxed and willing to open up emotionally.
The children are more apt to come and visit my office now because it is a comfort zone.
In the 20 years of being a school counselor, I don't know why I waited so long to make my office a home to the kids. My office is truly a Home Away From Home...
