I have been using flexible seating in my classroom for the last 3 years (balls, wobble chairs, floor seating, stand up tables). The students love the choice and makes them feel at home in the classroom. It really motivates them when they feel like their learning environment is comfortable and they have a say in what their space looks like. Because of school wide space issues we need to move our classroom library from a shared common space back into the classroom. I would use the book/storage bench and large floor pillows to create a classroom library that has the same feel as the rest of the classroom.
