TpT Resources For Mastery!
Funded Sep 26, 2023Thank you for your generous donation to help my students achieve their goals. The way we understand and use language is so important to our everyday lives and these TPT worksheets have been wonderful to engage and assess my students' language development.
From sentence structure to inferencing; vocabulary to executive functioning tasks, we are working hard on these skills with many different activities, thanks to you! Additionally, the anchor charts purchased have been a great help to transition skills into the classroom.
Although in speech language therapy my students tend to work on 1-2 skills throughout the year because the repetition and process is necessary to attainment, we do not use the same materials each time. Working and applying these skills over and over again does not need to be boring with exciting and new activities. With your generous donations, I have bought worksheets and anchor charts to use in conjunction with tasks and games to reinforce these targeted skills.
Due to your generosity, I no longer need to spend countless hours developing new worksheets to work on these skills and can dedicate more time to engaging with my students, progress monitoring their goals and adapting the materials for their individual needs.
I would like to describe an activity that was done today with some 6th grade students (see pics!). We are working on using compound sentences when writing to better formulate ideas so that they are clear for any reader. These 6th graders struggle to express their ideas and formulate sentences, which, as you can imagine, presents a huge difficulty when expected to write short responses and complete essays in the classroom. Today, they worked on a 'quiz' which was more like a challenge! This at- times boring and tedious task was met with enthusiasm as they began discussing together the steps for clear sentence writing. Independently, the students were able to determine the building blocks of the sentences and then combine them into one clear and coherent sentence. They are rock stars!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Sokoloff
