I teach at a school where 67% of the students are English Language Learners and 93% qualify for free or reduced lunch. With students coming from different walks of life, diversity has become the school's strength.
Every morning, my 24 first graders come to school eager, enthusiastic, and ready to learn. With an "I think I can" attitude, these anxious six-year-old students are extremely open and receptive to all new learning taking place in class. And at the end of the day, they feel proud of what they had accomplished. My striving star scholars deserve the best, so they can achieve their dreams.
