I fully believe in reaching students where they are, helping them embrace learning with confidence. There are a myriad of ways to do this, but one that I fully believe in is "Book of Your Choice Units", where students work in smaller groups, reading the same books, and achieving success with materials they WANT to read. I do this for all classes, and would love to have class sets of these books, giving students the maximum amount of options and time that isn't wasted on waiting for books. I hope to branch this concept out to the senior classes as well, by letting them choose which Shakespearean tragedies they WANT to read and sharing it with their peers. We all want students to engage in their learning, and by giving them a CHOICE, I've seen amazing results. Thank you for helping me make this dream a become reality!
