By donating to our project, our students will develop their play skills and by extension their social skills as well as make gains in core content areas such as science, Math and ELA. It is also my hope that our students will make gains in expressive and receptive speech and language. My goal is for my special needs students is for them to have opportunities to engage in joint attention through games and play with support and scaffolding from instructors. My students need those items requested so that they may engage in play activities daily to build their play skills and social skills. Those items will also allow them to make gains in language, Math and science among other areas. My students' social skills and play skills are major deficits in their development. In addition, the sensory toys will aid in maintaining our students focused and calmed which lead to maximized learning outcomes. My students currently have almost no educational toys in the classroom aside from a few wooden puzzles. Instructors also lack an office chair. I would be forever grateful if you would help us acquire the items on our list. Thank you so much for your generosity. Daphne Gribetz
