Many of the materials requested such as the 0-30 number line and hundred activity mat will allow for small group instruction through games and active learning. Students will be placed in small groups with the support of an adult to guide and promote the independent practice of literacy and math skills. Each child will get a turn to explore, build, and enhance their knowledge with the use of materials in each activity. They will get hands-on experience through play with the magnetic letters, dice, dominoes, blocks, puzles, and games. The materials will be highly motivating to young learners. The fun nature of these resources will provide the necessary repetition and practice of skills, but also give an engaging experience to those students faced with learning challenges. Students with focus and attention issues will benefit greatly from the design of the materials. It will allow children to use a variety of resources to enhance learning and create a fun experience at the same time. These materials will be used throughout the school year and will be used with each of my Pre-K/Kindergarten classes in future years. The impact will be great and reach a countless number of children in the classes ahead!
