  • Back to School Giveaway for Students in Need!

    Funded Jul 3, 2019

Two weeks ago, we prepared the counseling room in order to distribute donated book bags and supplies and I could not have been more grateful. With your contributions, we were able to impact and surprise numerous students with book bags filled with required supplies to kick off their 2019-2020 school year.

School supplies may be considered to be simple donations, but these were donations that created equal access to many of our needy students. These students will not feel left out during the school year. Parents and students will not worry about where they will obtain supplies next school year and that is a major impact! I would like to take my time to say thank you for considering to make a difference! I appreciate all that you have done!"”

  • Keeping Clean the Tigers Way!

    Funded Jan 6, 2019

Thank you for providing our care package to a few of our students. As a counselor, I was able to talk and teach about Hygiene and provide them with products which made the experience a real connection. The products were well packaged and it proved that someone cared. Each package had deodorant, lotion, shampoo, a comb and other essentials that many take for granted. Many students expressed their gratitude for their care package and we appreciate your generosity. Thanks again for supporting my project.”

    Funded Mar 21, 2018

Thank you for the uniforms and being a helping hand and a great need at our school.

The uniforms we received have already been distributed towards the students who needed it most. Our students and their parents were pleasantly surprised as we were able to give multiple sets of clothing, which was a first for our school.

You have made our outreach pilot project was a tremendous success and would not have been made possible without your assistance. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of these beautiful children.”

  • Tigers Dressing to Learn!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for supporting our "Tigers Dressing to Learn!" project request. Our girls looked superb a few weeks ago when they represented our school for the Superintendent's Honor Concert. The white shirts made them look in uniform and professional, which boosted their self-esteem. This year, there were no issues in terms of having the proper formal wear accessible. Thank you for reaching out and making a great difference in our students' lives. We truly appreciate all that you do for public schools.”

  • Hanging Up for Success!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

We are so excited that you chose my "Hanging Up for Success!" project request. We badly needed a mobile wardrobe on wheels to store, hang and secure the brand new school uniforms, backpacks and the other formal wear for our needy students.

Now that we finally have a wardrobe on wheels, we can easily transport the clothing and also have the students dress or try on clothing on site. The shelves of the wardrobe make it easy to store other school accessories such as the donated backpacks and lunch bags. Thank you for making such an impact and helping us with this project.”

  • Formal Wear for Our Tigers!

    Funded Mar 5, 2018

Thank you for supporting this formal wear project. We had to write at least three requests to fit all of the students, as the suits especially ran small. Our boys looked amazing when they performed off-campus and a few days ago, they competed in a music competition at the district level and placed first.

The girls also were dressed to impress in their white and black outfits and looked so in sync, that we are trying to acquire enough white and black blouses and skirts to fit all our girl groups and ensembles at our school. We even added bow ties, so they will match the boys when they are on stage.

Your support has impacted children who did not even own proper dress shoes. The staff went out-of-pocket and provided shoes and in some cases, socks, for those in need and we are on our way to starting a clothing bank for the new school year.

Thank you for making a huge difference in our students' lives!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dirosier

A great number of my students are ELL/ESOL who were displaced during the earthquake in Haiti and relocated to South Florida several years ago. More than half of my students have no access to basic commodities in their households, including school supplies and uniforms. Almost everyday, I have to try to accommodate a child who came to school out of uniform because they just migrated from an impoverished or devastated island or their parents cannot afford to purchase what is needed for school. Unfortunately, due to limited funding, I am running out of ways to provide uniforms and am seeking your donations so that I can have thirty-six shorts, uniform overalls, skirts and polo shirts to assist students in need of uniforms.
