Thank you for your generous donation so that we can have rugs in the classroom. The students love working and playing around the classroom and I always felt terrible seeing them on the tile floor.
When I made this donation request, I had ideas on spaces that I could put these rugs to make working and playing more enjoyable. When we received the rugs, the students were beyond excited! We opened up the rugs and placed them around our classroom. The rugs have moved around the room to meet our needs. With these rugs, I give the students more opportunities to work around the room which can be more comfortable then sitting at their tables. At the end of the day, the students are giving 30 minutes of free play. The rugs have helped give the students visuals as where they can play.
Thank you again for allowing our classroom this great opportunity!”
Thank you for your generous donation. The students were beyond excited when the boxed arrived at school!! The students asked if we could open up the sensory bins immediately and explore them. They helped me open up the materials and sort them out. We have had the materials for two weeks now and the students keep expressing the sensory bins are their favorite!
I am looking forward to implementing the sensory bins next year. The different bins are for different season so I will be able to have "new" bins for the students to help keep them engaged and excited. Until then, the students this year can explore, sort, count, make patterns and work on their fine motor skills!
Thank you again for this great opportunity for our students!”
Thank you for your generous donation! The students were so excited when they saw the new stools for our room! They LOVE using the stools throughout the day.
I put the chairs at the writing center. I have notice that students will ask all the time to go work in that area for different activities. When we have independent reading time, they will ask to go sit in the "cool" chairs! The students also want to work there during exploration time. They have been used during our whole group lessons and small group time as well. Some of the students will want to sit on the stool instead of the carpet.
I truly appreciate you helping our classroom! The students love that they have choices on what they can sit on and where they can work.
Thank you!”

Thank you for your generous donation! I received the donations just in time for the students to use them this year. I did not tell the students what was purchased. They were so surprised and excited when we opened up the boxes together! The students decided they wanted to make a campsite in our dramatic play area. I put up the black paper, and they decorated their backdrop. Then we learned all about camping! The students loved playing with the campfire, tent and of course looking for bears!!
Since our year was coming to an end, I had the students explore the Vet set and Dentist set during exploration time. I am excited for the students to be creative and build the dramatic play area next year with the materials purchased. My students were not always excited to going the library center. The puppets that were purchased brought our library center to life! The students had fun reading with a puppet, to a puppet and of course putting on a puppet show!
Thank you again for the donations for our classroom. The students had so much fun learning with them, I know that our future students will have just as much fun!”
Thank you for your generous donation! These shelves have helped keep all our materials organize as well as help promote independence in the classroom. The students now have a dedicated spot to keep their book bins. They have an organized spot for center bins. The last shelf was for their level books. The students can easily find books that they want to read and add to their book bags. I've been able to add bins on top of the shelf, so that the students can easily get pencils, markers, and glue sticks as needed. The students know now where each item belongs. This has been really helpful during lessons and transition time. Thank you again for all your help and support!”

Thank you for the generous donation! My students were so excited to have their own book bin! All of their materials are neatly organized in these bins which allows them to be successful throughout the day. We have book bin time every day for 10 minutes which has things such as leveled books, sight word practice, alphabet practice, name writing practice. Since the students have everything in their bin, they have been asking if they can do their book bin during center time!
Thank you again for your generous donation. These book bins have helped keep everything organized and together.”

Thank you for your generous donations for our classroom. The students have had a great time being creative with all the materials. I started off with art days. I would show the students how to use the materials as well as module an activity. On Fridays, we would have free art day where the students could choose what they wanted to do.
The students really did a nice job sharing and taking care of the materials. I decided to add more to our art time. Now the students are able to access the materials during math and literacy centers too!
I love watching how creative the students are with art. Thank you for allowing our class this experience to learn and growth through art!”

My students were beyond excited when they saw all the new exploration tools!! The students have been able to use these materials daily for hands on learning in our math lessons, centers, and STEM activities.
It is a lot of fun to see the students building, exploring, and problem solving with the new materials. We are going to start to learn addition and subtraction. I cannot wait to use the new materials to help teach these skills. We are truly blessed to have an amazing community that is so supportive! Thank you again for generous donation!”
Last year was extremely difficult. We had to go against all the best practices that we know are developmentally appropriate for our students to learn and grow. Our school was remote for most of the year. I was able to go back in April to teach in person. With social distancing and COVID protocols, I realized I do not have enough materials to make individual centers.
With COVID numbers rising again, I want to start putting together individual centers to ensure we can still play while we are learning! I will takes these requested materials and put together individual centers. Last year students were not allow to share materials. In addition, I had to spray materials after every use and allow it to dry for a certain amount of time. With these additional materials, it will allow students the opportunity to use different manipulatives throughout the day without having to share or wait for them to be sanitized.
