  • Lights, TABLES, Reading, Go!

    Funded May 3, 2019

Our new tables are beyond amazing. Each table holds four students. Students work collaboratively in groups and with partners. They love identifying their tables by the "red" table or the "blue" table. They are so sturdy and nice. We no longer have to worry about our desks wobbling or our items getting lost in our desks. My students love their tables so much that they argue to clean them at the end of the day. These tables have been a wonderful attribute to our class. I cannot begin by telling you all of the group projects, math activities, and book readings that go on daily. The first day of school was memorable! The students could not believe their eyes when they saw their new tables. They were all eagered to pick a color to sit on. We are currently working on a STEM building project that will be completed within 5 different groups. These tables have made it so much easier for my students to collaborate, plan, and engage in contact. I cannot express my gratitude. It is only a matter of time before our whole class is rennovated and it is all Thanks to you. Thank you for supporting public education.”

  • Chairs, Chairs, Here or There...Chairs, Chairs, Anywhere!

    Funded May 3, 2019

I cannot explain how wonderful these first days of school have been. My students absolutely love their new chairs. They brag about the colors and how new they look. We get so many compliments from visitors and parents who enter our classroom. Their faces just light up with excitement and awe. We were able to get rid of our old broken chairs .

Students are no longer complaining about cracks, or being uncomfortable. They work collaboratively well with their peers. They are able to move their chairs throughout the classroom without fear of having them broken. We currently are working to get a few more chairs to complete our classroom setup! We are so thankful with your donation! We will cherish and use them for a lifetime to come. May you have all the blessings in the world!”

  • May I Sit, Please?

    Funded May 10, 2018

My students and I cannot explain how happy your donations have made us all. Our new chairs arrived yesterday. My student's were so curious to open up the box. Not to mention, curious was our word of the week:). We all did a loud drum roll until I finally opened up the box. Their jaws dropped of happiness. They couldn't believe that they would now have 5 colored chairs that were brand new. They wanted to sit in them right away. I had to call on groups so that they each could have a chance to try out our new chairs. I have currently placed the chairs in our Teacher Led group which is a kidney table. I cannot explain how they all want to be called upon simply because they want to sit in the "red chairs" as they would say. They are so excited to send you their thank you notes and show you pictures. On behalf of my firsties and I, Thank you! Your donation has made a huge impact in the lives of my students. They are not accustomed to having new furniture in their classroom. For them, Christmas has arrived early. Your donation will forever be in our hearts. It is people like you that make children smile and tingle inside. Thank you for making the difference in a child's life. Thank you for supporting Public School education! We are beyond blessed to have received such a beautiful donation. Our room has been filled with laughs and smiles. We appreciate you.”

  • Tables are Turning, Students are Learning!

    Funded Mar 21, 2018

Once more, thank you for your donation to our classroom. I cannot express how happy this interactive whiteboard has made us all. It is such a big hit in the classroom! Everyone that walks in lays their eyes on it. My students just love using it during Differentiated Instruction time and for sight word practice. They love writing all over the table and being able to erase their simple mistakes. My students simply cannot wait to be called to the Teacher Led Center to be a part of the interactive activities that take place on our activity table. When they first saw the table they couldn't believe their eyes. They were so happy to have a table where they could write on, express their ideas, and solve their problems. We are currently working on replacing our broken chairs and tables. Our classroom is coming to life and it is also because of your donation. Thank you for being so supportive, and for taking the time to support Public school teachers. We are beyond grateful.”

  • Comfy, Cozy, Welcoming And Relaxing!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

My Bean Bag sofa and colorful fish rush are the biggest hit in my first grade classroom. My students absolutely adore this comfy area of the room. They spend time at the library reading books with the most relaxed face expressions. They love it so much that it has become a part of our attendance incentives. If you come to school everyday, you have extra time on the cozy area. My students were amazed when they saw the materials. Their jaws dropped of excitement and eagerness to try the items out. They now say that we have the most beautiful classroom in the school. My students are so excited to be getting support from people all over the world. We are currently setting up our rotations, routines, and organizing out our year in general. We have become a STEM school which means we will be looking forward to a great year filled with Science, Collaboration, and Teamwork. Thank you for being an important factor in our classroom. We will forever be thankful for what you have done .”

  • Help us Print our Pieces Please!

    Funded Apr 13, 2018

I cannot thank you enough for what You have done for my class and I. Technology is a big part of our school. Moving forward, we want our students to receive lots of exposure to technology so that they are up to date with new programs and content. These past few weeks have been really busy as we approach the end of the school year, but also extremely fun. We have had the opportunity to work and use our new printer! My students are so happy with the new labels and how nicely their writings are coming out. Last week we did a curriculum showcase about the Everglades. My students created Power Points and Brochures to inform other students about what they learned. I cannot even describe how beautiful and professional our brochures looked because of our new printer. They could not stop showing off their work and expressing how happy they were about it. This could have not been done without your generous donation. All of my students want to type up their projects, writings, and even simple sentences just to print them out. What you have done for us will never be forgotten. Words cannot describe what this means to us all. My students have been given the opportunity to experience technology and programs they had never before used. They have been given the opportunity to publish their pieces and feel confident and proud of their work. This could have not be done without you.Thank You! Thank You! Thank you! for supporting my classroom:) We are so happy with our new printer!”

  • Computers For Success!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

I would like to thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. I am beyond excited that my students now have two additional computers to use during our instructional time. Words cannot describe the excitement they felt as I relayed the good news to them. They started jumping and screaming of joy saying "We have computers, We have computers!". This will be the only time I allow them to brag HaHaHa! On a more serious note, most if not all of my students in grades 4 and 5 do not have access to technology at home. They love computers but cannot get their hands on one unless they go to the Public Library. As a teacher, it breaks my heart to see that such wonderful and beautiful children have to go through such situations. Unfortunately, it is very hard for me to buy them all the resources they need to have a better education. Without computers, it is also very difficult for them to complete their I-Ready usage times, Imagine Learning, and have access to interactive websites that help them promote their Literacy skills. My classroom is filled with a diverse population of learners. We have both Special needs students and Ell students that need all the resources available to help them learn the curriculum. Thanks to you Ripple, these set of Chromebooks have made it so much easier for us to accomplish this. My students are now able to have more individual time on the computer, complete their lessons, and have access to interactive websites such as ABC mouse and Kahoot. The kids absolutely love having their personal computers in class. They even mentioned that they are excited that they don't have to worry about our broken computers getting fixed anymore. Technology holds the key to the future. Thanks to your donation, my kids are a step closer to becoming better readers and leaders. I still cant take the image out of my head of the excitement they shared while opening the boxes. Absolutely all 30 of my students were jumping in the air when the boxes arrived. Words cannot describe how thankful and blessed I am to have experienced this wonderful initiative on your behalf. Seeing my students happy makes me the most fortunate teacher in the world! It makes me even happier to know that they're people like you making a difference in their lives. Thank you so much for supporting public school teachers and education. You truly are our MVP! Hope you enjoy our pictures and some of my little angels smiles. Thank You! Thank You! Thank you! & GBY!”

  • Welcoming Students Displaced by Hurricane Maria!

    Funded Jan 15, 2018

I am beyond thankful for what your generous donation has done for my students and our classroom. Is it really hard for my students to bring their own device to school. It is also very difficult for them to complete their assigned homework from their homes. They are required to complete daily instruction on these computers through District mandated programs such as I-Ready and AR. These set of Ipads have made it so much easier for us. We have received new students displaced the recent hurricanes which have made technology a bigger issue in our classroom. However, because of your donation my students are now able to have more individual time on the computer. We are also able to conduct group Kahoot's so they can practice and review their tested materials. The kids love being able to go outside the traditional paper/pencil review. Technology engages them and makes them excited to learn. They love the hands on experience and team work efforts they can display through these computer programs. I still cant take the image out of my head of the excitement they shared while opening the boxes. Even our new students feel welcomed and at home. Words cannot describe the happiness and love my students have toward technology and education. Seeing my students happy, makes me the most fortunate teacher in the world! It makes me even happier to know that there are people like you making a difference in their lives. Thank you so much for supporting public education. It is people like you who make our students grow into the future of tomorrow. Thank you!”

  • Buzzing Through Learning!

    Funded Jan 1, 2018

I cannot stop expressing how thankful I am for what you have done for my students and I. These set of buzzers have made such a difference in our classroom environment. They have brought laughs, happiness, but overall lots of engagement and learning. When I first received the packet I let some of my students open it to share with the class. They were so excited to see the light up buzzers. They rapidly started asking me if we could use them. They started yelling "I want the blue one!", "I want the red one!". You could only imagine the excitement on their faces. From that moment on, I knew that these buzzers were going to help us so much.Today, we put our buzzers to the test! We started our weekly unit opener. Each student was given a buzzer and informed about the rules. The rules indicated that no one can touch the buzzers unless they want to answer a question. After reading our weekly story I began asking reading comprehension questions. I cannot even explain to you the great amount of participation I received from my students. Never have I seen them so excited to respond to a question. The sounds of the buzzers filled the air! Everyone wanted to participate! Everyone wanted to press their buzzer! It was so hard for me to pick a student considering that everyone wanted to answer at the same time. As the day continued, I could not help but realize how focused everyone was. Every student in my classroom was listening to the readings and the lessons being taught. They were anxiously waiting for a question to be asked so they could press their buzzers away. It was truly one of the best days ever! My students happiness made me the happiest teacher in the world. It makes me even happier to know that someone as special as you took the time out to help my classroom dream come true. We are anxiously waiting for the end of the week to review our chapter test. Can you believe it? They are excited to review for a test! We owe it all to you! From now on, we will be buzzing through learning!!!

Thank you so much Grace for this kind gesture. We will never forget what you did for us.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. G.

Reading, Writing, and Experimenting,! A day in the life of Ms. Garcia's class. I am a third year teacher at our school. I currently teach the best grade of all... FIRST! I wouldn't want it any other way! My school is located in a low-income area in Miami called "Wynwood". We are currently a Title 1 school and ninety-nine percent of our students qualify for free reduced lunch. My students face many struggles including living in homeless shelters and drug rehabilitation centers. My job consists of teaching, and making my students feel happy, comfortable, and right at home. My students lack access to various resources. Unfortunately, their economic situations do not allow them the opportunity to access technology and other learning tools. I am excited to do all I can to help my "children" access the resources and education they need to become the future leaders of tomorrow!
