  • Urban STEM Needs a Boost!

    Thank you for your generous gift of Chromebooks and a weather station. My students have been able to explore weather patterns using the Chromebooks and use up to the second data right from the classroom.

    Without you, we would not have any of the technology necessary to provide our students with the opportunity to look outside of our school. The ability to explore what is going on in the rest of the state along with the new knowledge obtained about what is happening in the rest of the world. It was enlightening to me how little they knew about the outside world never mind the state.

    Again I cannot put into a letter the immense impact your donations have had on my students and it is with an enormous amount of sincerity that I write to you. Our students are so used to doing without and were so excited to be able to explore and learn new things. I can only hope that they are able to benefit from what they have learned and appreciate those who supported them along the way. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!”

My students need computers to access interactive labs so they can attain the skills necessary to be competitive in the 21st century. Students will be able to experience advanced lab applications through the use of computers. My students must keep up with the latest advancements in STEM to expand their Scientific interests. Science is changing every single day, and so are the demands on today's learners. Learners deserve the opportunity to keep up with the latest advancements in STEM in order to expand their Scientific interests. My school does not have the equipment necessary to keep students on a competitive level with same aged peer. Having access to interactive labs would allow them to maintain their interests and apply knowledge that will further engage their growing minds.

About my class
