• We Can Talk to the Animals - and Touch Them, too!

  Thank you so much for funding my project. It is wonderful when people see my visions for early childhood educations. I love to give the children in my class lots of different hands on experiences. Many of them have been to the zoo, however not many of them have been up close to the animals.

  Some of the children were very excited about touching the animals, some were afraid. It was wonderful to see how the children interacted with the animals. The children talked a lot about the size of the animals. Some were smaller than the children thought.

  The visit has started many conversations about animals .They are using all of the new vocabulary that they were taught that day. They are looking for lots of books and videos about animals.

  Dear Donors,

  I would love to thank you are your help with this project ,We Can Talk to the Animals-and Touch Them, Too!

  The show was amazing. They children and teachers had a great time. I have a lot of animals in my classroom. The children love to observe and read about them. This show brought all the reading to life.

  The children loved being able to touch some of the animals. They were amazed by how big and long and heavy the snake was. It took seven children to hold it. Some of the children were scared of the animals while others couldn't wait to hold the animals .

  They have been talking about all of the new things they learned about the animals.

  They children now have a great foundation for the next steps for learning to read , write and research.

  I want to thank you so much for your help fund the project. The children were so excited about Petland Discount coming to our classroom.

  Many of the children have seen animals in the zoo and in the aquarium but they have never been able to see them up close. They were able to touch some of the animals. They were surprised by the texture of the skin and the weight of the animals. It was great to see the excitement in their eyes when they were able to help hold the snake. They talked about the visit for weeks after the show. It was an experience that they will never forget.

• Crafty Pre-Kers

  I want to say thank you again for helping to get this project funded.

  The children were so excited when they came into the classroom and saw all of the new art supplies on the table. They wanted to start exploring and using them right away.

  We started by using the Dot Art Stampers and the Wikki Stix. The children used the Wikki Stix to form letters,words and their names. They also formed numbers. They used the Dot Art Stampers to make spring pictures and pictures of their families.”

• We Can Talk to (and touch) the Animals

  I want to thank everyone that contributed to this project.

  The children were very excited about Petland Discounts coming to our classroom. Many of the children have not been that close to real animals before. They were able to touch many of them. The children learned a lot of new vocabulary about animals. They also learned lot of new facts about animals and how to care for animals.

  I have a lot of pictures from the visit in my classroom. They look at them all the time. It brings back great memories for them. The children love telling stories and drawing pictures about the animals they saw that day.

  I can't fully express my joy, excitement, and thanks for your generous donations to my project. The children are having so much fun learning and playing on the IPAD.

  It brings a whole new world to life for them. The children are learning so much while playing games. The children have different math and letter/word games to choose from. The stories seem to come to life as they are read to the children.

• A New Home for the Hermit Crabs

  I want to thank every one for your generous donations.

  The new tank has arrived at school. The pre k children are so excited to see the hermit crabs in their new home. The children enjoy watching the hermit crabs. Many of the hermit crabs have grown and changed into bigger shells. They now have so much more space to walk around.

  The children in Kindergarten enjoy coming back to my classroom to observe the hermit crabs too.

• Wee Readers Write and Draw Big Ideas

  The children really love the Ezra Jack Keats big

  books. The big books make it much easier for everyone to see the beautiful

  pictures and words. It is easy for

  the children to follow along while I point to the words that I am reading.

  The children are also having a great time

  reading the big and little books by themselves and in small groups. They are

  having a fun writing stories and drawing pictures about the different stories.

  The children said that their favorite character was Peter. Many of the children also love Peter's

  dog Willie.

• Buddies Hiding in the Sea

  I am so happy that so many people are out there to help with my vision to educate young children. The children were so excited to go to the Aquarium. Some of them had never been there before. They were amazed by the size, shape and the different colors of all of the animals.

  We have also been learning a lot about different sea animals and sea life in the classroom. We are now working on a pre-k mural to show all the different things we learned. The children can't wait for everyone to see it.

• Moving On Up to Kindergarten

  I wanted to thank everyone who helped to fund this project. The children and I had a wonderful year. The children worked so hard. They learned many different things. We took a lot of great trips.

  They are ready for kindergarten and the rest of their academic lives.
