Jump Start BCP Boys and Girls Middle School Basketball!
Funded May 31, 2019We at Beacon College Prep want to thank you for your generous donations. Since we've received such awesome equipment, we have taken our training to the next level. With the amount of resistance bands we have, we can get through our workouts much quicker. Now we have more time for drill and skill work. You all have helped give our student-athletes a real chance at becoming great. The resources are right in front of them and I'm so happy to see that they now want success even more. Our student-athletes are so happy. They really look forward to coming to practice and training session. You all have helped create an awesome program here. Scholarship factory!!! Thanks again.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Smith

Funded Mar 22, 2019We want to thank you all for your generous donations. Practice and training for our sports programs have become more effective. Our basketball team can now get through a series of agility drills a lot faster. More players can get into rotation and receive more training. Our Cheerleading team now have a variety of ways to work on their flexibility with the resistance bands.
Our student-athletes were excited to see the new materials arrive. They were anxious to put them to use immediately. It's encouraging to see the kids motivated to invest in themselves. I can see the hard work that's being put into pursuing greatness. That type of approach gives them a chance at success.
The next steps for this project is to create a culture of hard working student-athletes. The will to prepare has to be greater than the will to win. I want to create a Strength and Conditioning Program for our student-athletes. The donations that we have received from you all have been a tremendous help. We are not done yet. The quest for greatness will never stop as we will continuously look for ways to give our student-athletes the best chance possible.”

Funded Feb 25, 2019I want to express our sincere gratitude for donating such amazing gifts to our student-athletes. These gifts help give our student-athletes hope that they can be somebody important in this world. They now have a better opportunity to improve upon their physical development and build upon their self esteem.
Here at Beacon College Prep, we have a large amount of students who desire to not only make it to college but also graduate and help out their families in the future. Earning athletic scholarships will provide another avenue to do so. That is our goal. Being a former student athlete at Bowling Green State University, I understand the opportunities these kids thirst for and how to go about training to get there. I grew up in these same rough neighborhoods that my students currently reside. I was fortunate enough to earn an athletic scholarship and graduate with a degree in Exercise Science. I will use my life experiences and knowledge from school to help my young student-athletes explore new endeavors and achieve their current goals.
I can already see the boost in confidence as my students train to get better. We have more volleyballs now which allow our students to get more reps and rotations. They love gaining strength in their legs as they push the sled. They are also pumped about new power gains in their scoring through using the Pull Up and Dip Station. Those resistance bands have made my students more likely to stretch. Kids often try to skip out on stretching but we all know how important stretching can be as it helps to keep our bodies healthy. With the help of you providing these resources it allows us to get more done with the short amount of time given. Its fantastic to see kids excited to invest in themselves. The donation of this equipment have been an enormous help. We are ever so grateful for your support.”
