The Algebra Tiles and Fraction Kits will be used to help the students understand the complex mathematics concepts. Once they are able to manipulate the pieces into equations they can see what is happening when they use the numbers. The manipulatives will help students overcome their frustrations with math to be able to problem-solve and feel successful at it. When they understand the concept they will become less afraid of math and be able to progress at higher levels and realize their dreams of attending college, because they will have the skills they need.
