  • Help My Students Develop Health Mental Health Strategies

    Funded Oct 29, 2024

    Our peer leaders study the psychology around conflict and mediation. They are then tasked with regular outreach in our school community to help stop problems before they start. They push into 9th and 10th grade classrooms and need to command the attention of the entire room. Every week.

    They are using our new ipad for amazing things. On Canva they have made resources that describe the stages of grief, that ask students how to assess their own mental health, and that give students tools to solve interpersonal conflict on their own.

  • Restorative Justice Requires Technology!

    We have been enjoying our new ipad for several months now and want to say thank you very much for how it has impacted our work.

    At our school we engage in peer leadership and mediation. We study how to most effectively solve peer conflict and practice for when we need to step in for our school community. Using the ipad to create engaging resources has transformed our work.

    I don't know if you've seen a teenage use CANVA before, but the quality of the work they can produce is amazing. They've made graphics about the stages of grief, about how to solve conflict and about consent in relationships all of it is impactful.
