  • Books, Books, and More Books!

    Funded Apr 4, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations to add new books to my classroom library. I was able to add both fiction and non-fiction books for the students to read.

In third grade, we discuss many differences between the two genres and having updated example is so helpful.

Having many new Non-fiction books to use for our animal projects will be wonderful. Having these resources will help my students discover many different animals and their habits, lives, babies, and more.

It's people like you that help make a difference in my students lives, and I thank you and appreciate it more than you know.”

  • Do You Know if 1/2 and 3/4 Are Fractions?

    Funded Jun 22, 2023

Thank you very much for your generous donation to my classroom. Math is so important in 3rd grade, and the students need access to any kind of manipulatives they can get their hands on. Many of my students aren't exposed to math in their everyday life,so having the ability to teach and show my students all about fractions is so positive.

They like that they can manipulate the fraction titles and that they can use them with all their fraction work in class. They are also magnetic, so they can use them on their whiteboards as well. They think that's "cool".

Thank you again for helping my students. I appreciate more than you know.”

  • Hearing is Caring!

    Funded Apr 18, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom. The students are so excited to have working headphones to use with their computers at school. We use headphones for so many activities in class and they are helpful to keep my students focused on their own work.

Throughout the school year we have assessments on the computer and having the headphones just makes it that easier. They can hear the directions better and listen to whatever the tasks are. They also enjoy listening to music during down time and it makes it easier when other students are still completing work.

Thank you again for helping my students. They love the headphones...”

  • Don't Forget to Skip!

    Funded Oct 26, 2021

Third grade is a big year to learn about skip counting and multiplication. Most of my students have not been in school since first grade. Having these flash cards and boards gave them all the benefits possible to succeed with their Math learning. I am using whiteboard number lines in Math centers to model skip counting and for my students to practice with their peers. The multiplication flashcards are being used every day to practice and test their multiplication skills. They are getting better every day.”

  • Learning about Events in History!

    Funded May 4, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom in these unpredictable times. Now that we are back in person in school, having these books has helped tremendously with my teaching about historical events.. Thes historical fiction books give my students a better insight and understanding about certain past events and history, and makes them really see and feel what it may have been like back then.

The books help to open the eyes of my students a little wider to really grasp the significance of past events and how it could affect us today.

We appreciate your generosity so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. M-C

  • We Love and Need Organization!

    Funded Mar 26, 2021

As you know, this past year was really challenging with Covid and remote schooling. I sent home many of my own supplies to families that needed everything to help their children at home.

So, this year I really needed some help with all the basics to start a fresh, new, somewhat normal school year. With your help, my students had all the supplies and materials needed to have a successful school year back in person at school. All of the materials have been used in daily activities, from notebooks, to folders, to crayons, and they are all so appreciated by both myself and my students.

Organization is such a fundamental skill that also needs to be taught in school and you helped so much with that!

We all thank you again for you support and generosity during these crazy times”

    With gratitude,
