Studies show that students learn better when they are able to move. Because of this, our school is putting an emphasis on giving students opportunities to move throughout the day. Typically, orchestra classes don't have many opportunities for students to move. I want to change that. With these balance cushions and chair bands, our orchestra students will be able to wiggle and fidget while they play their instruments. The balance cushions allow students to move their upper body around while they work. This will help calm students who normally have trouble sitting still. The bouncy bands will help students fidget with their feet while they work, relieving hyperactivity, anxiety, and the need to move. These tools will allow students to spend less brain power struggling to find ways to move, and more brain power making music!
